OUR SCHOOL RULES

Rules and regulations are essential as they make the students responsible. Students who are responsible always do what they are allowed to and avoid doing what they are not. They learn to know their limits and take responsibility for their actions when following the rules.

1) Each student must carry his almanac and identity card to school every day.

2) Students who come to school on their own should reach the school before school timings.

3) Students are not allowed to bring mobile phone to school. If they do so, it will be confiscated.

4) Changing of classrooms between periods should be done in an orderly manner and silently. Students should not unnecessarily leave their class at   /   the end of every period.

5) Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all School   /  functions.

6) Students who are slovenly dressed or not in uniform will be sent home. Wearing low waist trousers is forbidden.

7) Lending or borrowing money or other articles is not allowed.

8) Parents and guardians may meet the teachers during the specified time.

9) Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the Receptionist. They will not be called to answer phone   /   calls during class hours.

10) The school insists on the following measures to be observed by the members of staff and all students. Care must be taken to observe the ‘green   /  rules, in order to maintain clean, green surroundings, that is, school premises will not be littered with disposable tumblers,   /  papers or polythene bags. If polythene bags are brought to school, care should be taken not to dispose them off in the school   /   grounds. Minimum use of polythene bags will be appreciated. Do not spoil or pluck flowers.

11) Students are expected to respect school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in   /  any way damage things belonging to others. Any school property damaged even by accident should be reported at once to the class   /  teacher or to the principal.

12) Shanti Niketan School students should invariable be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their  /   conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences. Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments such as knives etc. to the school, or any kind of object that can cause injury to others.

13) Students are advised to keep their class room, school buildings and campus as clean as possible, and throw leftovers into the   /  dustbins.

14) The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advised to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches or fountain pens)   /  to school.

15) Shanti Niketan School provides education from Class I to Class VIII. Therefore, it is expected that the juniors be treated with 16) love and affection, while the juniors to show all respect to their seniors.

16) Fees can be paid by cheque/draft/cash within the stipulated time.

17) No student shall indulge in any of the following practices, namely:- A) Writing on the shirts or uniform. B) Smoking & Spitting in or near  /   the school building C) Any form of gambling.

18) Use of drugs or intoxicants, except on prescription by a registered medical practitioner.

19) Rowdyism and rude behaviors.

20) Use of violence in any form.

21) Casteism, communalism or untouchablity in any form Bursting crackers or throwing colour on one another/ or painting faces within the school   /  premises.

22) Under no condition a student is permitted to bring a mobile phone to the school. If confiscated, it will not be returned.

23) Students indulging in aggressive or violent behavior will not be allowed to travel by school bus. They will be picked and dropped to   /  school by their parents.

24) Canteen facility is only available in break time.

25) Students should not join other students in violent, destructive activities or they will be subjected to punishment.

26) Students will not instigate other co-students or juniors to indulge in any misbehavior or any form of anti-school activity which 29) will bring disrepute to the school and could spoil the career of the concerned student.

27) Students will not boycott the orders, directions and instructions given to them by the school authorities.

28) A student will not cooperate or indulge in any act of violence committed by other students which will harm any student physically or   /  mentally.

29) Students will not do anything to disturb the principles and norms of school discipline.

30) School rules can be changed without prior notice or reason.

31) No attendance would be given to a student during period of suspension.

32) Students cannot be admitted in to the school without the transfer Certificate of the school last attended.

33) Child under 18 years of age is not allowed to bring vehicle (Car, Motor Cycle, Bike, Scooty) otherwise strict action will be taken by the   /   school authorities. .
